Baptism, Angkor Wat, 2nd To Last P-Day!

We went to Ankgor Wat and a bunch of other ancient temples in that area. Super fun. No better way to spend for a birthday! And this time was way better, because we actually made an agenda so we were able to see a lot more temples than last time, and it was good. Super tired too, we started at 5 am and went until about 3:30 p.m. We were planning to email yesterday for a little bit, but the power went out and so the zone leader approved us emailing today. yay!

This Friday will be complete 2 years. That is pretty amazing!! I am at the end of an amazing journey. It's been an amazing journey because of a wonderful Heavenly father. I was told by Him in the MTC to "fear not, I am with thee, oh be not dismayed for I am thy God and will still give thee aid". That as definitely been fulfilled and that experienced has helped me plow through the difficult times of the mission.
Yesterday the sister who was baptized last week was confirmed and is doing great! And yesterday we started teaching her husband, and she stopped sewing on Sunday (that is her job) and told her boss that she can't sew on sunday and she said so was way more effective during to week. Cool stuff.
We also had a baptism yesterday, he is awesome! So much faith, he told his boss when we started learning to give him time off or he'll quit.

We are hoping for another baptism in two weeks on the 29th, but looks like I'll be gone.

We have a lot of investigators! We don't have enough time to teach everyone we need to, but I like it that way. A little overwhelming, and the best part we have four families we are teaching. Two progressing two a still very hesitant.

The down side is the RC from about six months ago have disappeared and we don't know where they went.
Good news, ever since Elder Belcher is now the district president, our branch is doing a lot better, and things are getting under control. It is still incredibly new and weak, but it is getting there.

Baptism!

This week was great!
Yesterday an new convert got baptized and it went well. She is awesome. Monday night we had to teach her a lot to get her ready for baptism.
Wednesday was zone conference, my last one! And Elder Gong came, he is president of our area. It went really well. We talked a lot about talking with everyone, lesson one and the Book of Mormon. Elder Gong's wife had everyone write down two things they liked and two things they didn't like about their comp and she read the lists with us. They were really interesting.

Another good thing about zone conference is that all the provinces came up to Siam Reap, and I got to see all the elders in my group but one.

This week the AP's our coming and my old comp Elder Brewer is coming on exchange with me.

Last Sat there was an couple about the age of 50, they have lots of free time Sat and Sun and they are looking for something to improve their lives. We taught them a short lesson and they came to church the next day. We will hopefully meet them again next week. I think that he will become the first stake president in Siam Reap!

Yesterday at church went well. we had 75 people come and for our branch that is super good. Last week we had a little over 50. And we had a meeting before and the branch president was thinking about some new counselors and I suggested a less active man who is starting to come back, and he came and the was  interviewed by the branch president...not about being a counselor but about receiving the Melchizedek Priesthood, hopefully it encouraged him not scarred him.
The principle dude is making progress. He still says he doesn't believe in God but this last time we met him he had a different attitude about learning and his prayer was more sincere, he is getting there. He has faith he just doesn't realize it...... yet. :)

Last night I had deja vu from my first area, we were teaching this drunk less-active in low lights, dusk in a jungly area with monks chanting in the background. That is when I start thinking again, I'm in Narnia!

It's March, 2015! Service and Up-Coming Baptisms

Well it is my favorite month of the year march! Because it is the month that I am coming home!!!!!! Before this month is over, I will be home that is incredible. The time is going fast. Each week just flies by. I have less than four weeks left! Crazy!
So this week was good. We are pretty busy cause we are covering the whole branch, but I like it that way. Our investigators are pretty much the same as last week. One investigator is getting baptized next week if all goes well. And we are hoping for another guy on the 15th and hopefully 3 more on the 21st my last sunday here. (I only have 3 sundays left!)
So last week there were a couple members who are building a new house and they asked the Branch Pres for money, which in that case they shouldn't get the money, but the Branch Pres was a little rude about it and so they stormed out of the church and as they passed us said that we would never come to church again and that was the last time they would ever see us. So Elder Belcher tried to schedule a FHE through us but they said no. So on Friday everything E. Chao and I were doing was falling through, so we decided to go visit them. We got there perfect timing. They has just has a truck dump a huge pile of dirt that needed to be shoveled into their house, and there was just the two of them. E. Chao and I took off our ties and got to work and were there all afternoon from 2:00 to about 5:30. It wrecked our day as far as teaching lessons is concerned, but two old members like that are super precious and we can't lose them. So it was worth it.
We called the senior couple and another member and helped them on Sat. So on Friday we talked afterwards and they said they would go to 2nd brach but they refused to go to first branch. I said we really needed them (cause we do! first branch is struggling!). Then we left.  and on Sunday the wife came! Sadly not the husband but the wife came, so that was probably the highlight of the week! Whoot whoot.
Last P day we went to the war museum pretty much all the old war things they took and put it there and let visitors play with it. It was fun we got some fun pics that I'll send.
This week is zone conference, my last one and Elder Wong the President of the Asia area is coming, I think it will be pretty good.
